The government has announced on Friday the Tata Sons has been selected as the winning bidder for acquiring national carrier Air India and finally after the 7 decades.
Air India is all set to return back to the Tata group. It took more than two decades and three attempts for the government to sell their flagship. It’s a home coming of Maharaja under the custodianship of Tata.
With the divestment of Air India to the Tata group is the base of the story that has come to power after the 68 years.

The journey of Air India began In April 1932 when Air India was called Tata Airlines, founded by Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy called JRD Tata with an investment of Rs 2 lakh, he was India’s 1st civil aviation pilot, Tata Group Chairman and the only
Industrialist to receive the Bharat Ratna. The carrier was then operating between Karachi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bellary and Chennai that flying mail and passengers.
